Opened in April 1986, Abel Theater, in Icaraí, is Niterói’s biggest theater, also being listed as one of the largest theaters in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The theater also stands out due to its 140m² Italian-style stage (without counters and with audience facing the stage) and, therefore, it is considered by many artists as one of the best in the State of Rio de Janeiro.
