Listed by IPHAN, its construction dates to the 17th century. This church’s colonial architecture includes an image carved in soapstone, credited to Aleijadinho. Inside you will find a high altar with the gold laminate wood image of São Francisco Xavier and a baptismal font made by indigenous people. Outside there is a sundial facing the spring with the emblem of the Jesuits, a wooden cross and a bell from the same period. At the bottom of the hill, you can still see a land measurement device from 1727, with inscriptions and emblems made by the Jesuits, which marked the São Francisco farm territory.
