The Community Theater has a reversible stage, which can be used by an indoor or outdoor audience in a square, hosting outdoor shows for up to 10,000 people. A glass wall allows the audience to see Guanabara Bay from inside the theater. The facade displays ceramics with drawings made by Niemeyer.
The Niemeyer Way, to which the Popular Theater belongs, is an architectural set which turned Niterói into the world’s second city with the largest number of works designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer, attracting visitors from all over the world.
